New parliamentary Committees: Greens/EFA nominated members for committees on CIA and Equitable Life
The Greens/EFA Group in the European Parliament has nominated its members for the Committee of inquiry on the collapse of the Equitable Life Assurance Society and the Temporary committee on the alleged use of European countries by the CIA for the transportation and illegal detention of prisoners.
For the Inquiry Committee on Equitable Life the group nominated German MEP Heide Rühle as full member and Dutch MEP Paul Van Buitenen as substitute member.
For the Temporary Committee on the CIA the group nominated Dutch MEP Kathalijne Buitenweg and German MEP Cem Özdemir as full members, and as substitute members British MEP Jean Lambert and Catalan MEP Raül Romeva.
